Empires don’t always settle on new continents
Quite often, even 5000 years in civilisations don’t ever settle on new islands, the continents just stay uninhabited forever.

Super PigMy civilizations are doing the same. They won't settle anywhere. I even tried to make them war against a new nation I made on the other island so they would go there but even this didnt work.

RlagSeems to happen mostly on custom maps. The empire tries to settle on the new continent but just leaves a 'ghost' village with 0 population that flashes on and off every few seconds. The actual people that were sent there to settle just starve to death or die of old age after hanging around the 'ghost' village.

RlagExample of said 'ghost' village on a custom earth map with new biomes:

The first empire started off in Africa and soon spread to Europe and Asia. They have since researched transport boats and have tried settling on new continents numerous times, but the 'ghost' village bug happens every time. New islands/continents remain completley uninhabited; only Africa, Europe and Asia (all pre-connected by land bass) have empires on them:

AcOn similar lines if a kingdom wants to occupy a new island/land and sends a small group to occupy the said land manages to die (maybe due to hostile mobs or other reasons) the kingdom doesn't send a better and a stronger unit to occupy it instead it seems to send only small groups which can easily be killed even after numerous fail attempts
Instead the kingdom should send a part of its army so that they are able to take care of the threat and occupy it safely
As of now the kingdom only sends a small group again and again to their deaths
