Soldiers running into their own fire

Sometimes when an army charges into battle, they throw a torch onto the path ahead of them and most of them if not all run through the fire. This ends up killing like half the army.

Yeah there can be a huge raid that can easily wipeout a town but then they all run into the fire they just thrown which kills them all

Yeah I think a good fix would be tweaking the AI to make NPCs avoid tiles that are currently on fire.

In my world a human kingdom invaded the elf's with an army of 60 (against the elf's 22)
They managed to defeat the army with 40 or something units left but died shortly after
Why? Cause they ran into fire with their health being mostly in 1 digit

This non stop happens, if a bottleneck has some type of fire in it and an army runs through it they'll just mass suicide in the fire and it's so bad...

They should avoid running into lava / fire if they can help it...

Fire damage needs to be fixed so when somebody is on fire they don't die but just loose like 1/3 hp
