Villagers turn into firefighters when there's no fire

for some reason villagers turned into firemen and went to a certain land and tried to put out the fire when there was no fire!! it destroyed a lot of small villages when the villagers only focused on eradicating the fire without any fire.because of that made them starve to because they didn't return the work (sorry for bad english)
