Farms are never fully usefull.
Huge cities fail to have adequate farms to support their population. Most cities with 6k population (or higher) literally only have a single, 5-block farm to support their 6000 people. (The humans were not spawned in.) And, the weirdest part about this is, the starvation only takes effect sometimes. I could have a 10k city, and have it be fine, then randomly drop to 500 because of starvation, which makes 0 sense. I tested it out, giving them plenty enough space, and resources. However, they failed to make more than one farm. Sometimes, everyone in the city starves to death! I come back after a 5 min break, and the cities are gone!

blue Mergedidk if it's the powerbox mod or just worldbox itself, but there are almost no farmers in villages. most of the villagers are in the army and the ones remaining just run around or do nothing. they plant seeds when there are like 20 wheat plants for them to harvest. so they end up starving

per_cept MergedI had a civilization build a farm, and they only expanded it 5 units, because buildings were blocking it I assume, but they wouldn't build any more farms, and wouldn't expand their farm, which lead to a 1400 population-dense city starving to death and being reduced to 300 before getting conquered by a rebellious city.

Skywer0819 MergedIn my world I have cities with almost 1000 population, but for some reason those cities dont build more farming spaces, therefore the people starve to death and the city doesnt really grow. It can be fixed by the player by using the finger tool to build more farming space, but it’s inconvenient nonetheless.

Limitlez MergedHaving the same problem. Villages seem to refuse to build new farms after a while.

yitiaoyu? MergedYes, the current city is larger than the previous version, but the storage capacity of the city and the scale of farmland have not increased, which has led to slower urban development and insufficient food and resources.

Richard J MergedThe villages aren't making enough farmland to sustain themselves and I keep getting mass starvation after a while. This is leading to a village with a capacity of ~320 softcapping at around 220 instead, as anything above that will leading to people dying and dropping it back down to ~220.

Kyle MergedI’m facing this problem as well, I’ve been running this world for over 3,000 years at this point and noticed after one city suffered a earthquake, hasn’t expanded its farm land leading to its population to become stunted despite having plenty of open land to use for farms. While this is the most clear example happening in my world I think it’s a lot more expansive, one massive empire in the same world with a population of almost 6,000 has over 700 people starving. It seems like whenever farm land is destroyed villagers prioritize the construction of other structures ultimately screwing themselves over.

aswentw Mergedmy people from time to time, in some settlements, run back and forth and do nothing, do not build houses and farms. Then they die from the city. It does not depend on race, population. This happens FREQUENTLY

Norwid MergedIt especially happens in old villages when farms are destroyed by fire. Instead of recreating them units start to build houses.

Hunter MergedSometimes roads will block off farming and villagers will try to farm the roads.

ZovnoMy capital city had a population like 1300 and plenty of land to create a big farm but they didn't the just run endlessly into the mine and in the end just starve to death. My only solution were Orcs with eat pure meat but that's not interesting became the I can't play with humans elfs and dwarfs
