Civilisations die out all the time

i placed countless humans and they never got passed 20 humans, (most died out at 5 humans but that was because of wolves killing them probably)

Even with peaceful predators, civilisations struggle to really expand or grow and might just fizzle out anyways... rebalancing required maybe?
