Improved gameplay loop via implementation of tiered progression systems
Currently the core gameplay loop of worldbox has shifted to the early game.
What if we add progression back across core simulated systems, returning replay value to the mid-late gameplay loop?
Language system proposed gameplay loop:
-Language has tiers
-After reaching a given tier,a culture is created
-higher tiers will boost: research/faith
-neuron event:multilingual language acquisition
-early-game core loop
Culture: adds depth by allowing technological progress.
-culture bound to a language
-return to megabox tech tier
-add religion as a tech (such as: temple - build a temple to found a religion)
-religion is bound to a culture and its base language
-neuron event: culture swap
-mid-game core loop
Religion: lategame depth
-religion-level mana pool (vs unit based mana)
-tiered magic unlocks
-unit "faith" value influences magic cast chance
-neuron event: religion swap
-late-game core loop
-player intervention can add religion/magic earlier (player agency restored)
value added!

i don't think that kind of thing fits the game. in the game, YOU ARE GOD. omnipotent. you can do whatever you wish. -

ShahbazThis system returns progression to the game through unit-focused early game, kingdom-building midgame, and lategame empire stage.
Religions could influence diplomacy just as culture does - now you have religions causing wars amongst kingdoms of similar magical strength!
Now your magical ability is based on your religions follower count, just as tech progress was based on citizen research.
This adds incentives for players to guide language, religion, and culture to spread techs and certain magic where they please. Since we are 'god', we can still add magic early game via the editor just as it is in betalith today. -

ShahbazFurthermore, you could add a tech for "magic" to religion - then add "culture techs" for magical weaponry that ONLY unlock when fire magic of tier 2 is unlocked. Now you have a 5% chance to make fire swords. Tier 3 fire magic? now your civ can research flame staff. This adds vertical depth between culture and religion.

FelipeI don't have a computer to play the beta but I really liked the update, there are people who told me they didn't find any bugs but I really wanted the mobile update to arrive soon

GroI even think, that clans smd families could influence new technologies, that will be kept in culture, through making the organizations. Trading and political organizations, military companies, crafting guilds, construction firms, scientific and cultural associations, or even religious sects. All that clan upgrades\alternatives could be the best realization of the Civ`s tech progression.
Kingdom could even establish the laws about organizations. Can different families can create the organization, or it will be only affordable to heir\king`s clan. What type of clan should be in charge and what organizations should be allowed in the kingdom\town.
This is how we could use both of clans and families, added in 0.50, to bring back technologies in the game.
